As early as 2022, the research project provided the opportunity to organise the BIM Game not only nationally but also internationally. Thanks to the close cooperation between Jade University of Applied Sciences in Oldenburg, Germany, Prof. Vasanth K. Bhat, Head of Design Hub India and the BMS College of Architecture in Bangalore, it was possible to hold the BIM Game in India in November 2022. The Jade Newsroom reported on our stay in 2022. The article can be found under the following link.
The workshop was a valuable opportunity to build on the existing relationships between the academic institutions and was a motivator to develop the teaching content bilingually. The result is that our website now also offers bilingual teaching content in English. We have now been invited to hold another workshop at the BMS College of Architecture, so this year, 2024, we will be travelling to Bangalore again. Including an English-language training programme for the digital planning methodology BIM. Participation in the planned workshop not only offers the opportunity to get to know BIM better, but also strengthens cultural and scientific cooperation as an important cornerstone of modern research. By sharing knowledge and experience, we develop innovative approaches and raise research to a new level.
BIM Game 2024 - Back to Bangalore
This is what awaits all participating students from universities in India: a two-day workshop on the topic of BIM. Through an introductory, small task, the students learn about BIM processes and then play the BIM Game collaboratively in groups. The students plan a student café on the grounds of the respective campus. In doing so, they take on different roles in the BIM process and thus familiarise themselves with different activities of a planning process. Some results from this role-playing game, created in 2022, can be seen here:
