Apply and test training formats internationally. Under this motto, the learning and teaching format BIM Game was presented at the Indian BMS College of Architecture and the Impact School of Architecture in Bangalore and carried out with great results.

In the workshops, students learned how to model 3D, visualize the models, derive plans from the model, enrich the model with information, create and work with IFC files, perform collision checks, and communicate with the model. Coordination processes were simulated and approval processes studied in order to finally present the final draft to all participants. The final use of AR glasses to illustrate the results was also met with great enthusiasm. This made it possible to realistically represent the modelled buildings in real size, including real neighboring buildings directly on site.

The CHARGING project followed an invitation from Prof. Vasanth K. Bhat, head of Design Hub India, to offer the BIM Game, a simulation game to teach Building Information Modeling methodology at universities in India, as a workshop. Cooperation in design projects is also a current issue in India, as major projects in India require the use of this planning methodology. The aim is to use digital transformation to build (or even dismantle) better, more resource-saving, climate-friendly and quality-assured.

For the project, he brought workshop knowledge with regard to the training concept in an international environment. A guest presentation to interested parties from the region ended the trip and is an impetus for further joint cooperation. Experiences and evaluations of the event are included in the publication:
