From May 30 to June 1, 2024, the Jade University will host the BIM Game, a compact course to teach the digital planning methodology Building Information Modeling (BIM). This role-playing game is part of a comprehensive training system that was developed as part of the RECHARGE project and will once again be tested in practice during this event.
In the weeks leading up to the event, participants were specially prepared for this event through the learning opportunities offered by the BIM trainer. This training aims to teach basic digital planning skills and to optimally prepare participants for the challenges of the BIM game. The workshop is organized in such a way that students work together in groups to practice collaboration within the project team. At the same time, the teams are in direct competition with each other. At the end of the event, a jury will select the best design and choose a winner. This not only promotes teamwork and creativity, but also a healthy competitive spirit among participants. BIM Game participants experience the application of key BIM technologies in a simulated planning competition, in which interdisciplinary teams demonstrate their skills in digital and sustainable construction. The game promotes the use of digital transformation to improve construction quality. The BIM Game integrates practical experience with a 3D model with specially developed self-learning formats, the so-called BIM Nuggets, which explain how to use various digital tools. The BIM Game forms an important part of the university's BIM training structure, using BIM Starter, BIM Trainer and knowledge nuggets.
This event is aimed at anyone who is interested in advanced planning methods and wants to learn how digital tools can be effectively integrated into the construction and planning process.
