Welcome to the BIM trainer!

The first stage of your journey through the world of BIM methodology has been successfully completed. During your stay at the first stop, you got to know our BIM nuggets, applied them and strengthened your digital skills and professional knowledge. Now the next stop is approaching – the BIM trainer. The BIM trainer represents different focuses in the BIM process. This is an opportunity to further deepen knowledge and skills by taking on specific roles in the BIM process. As author, coordinator, manager and user, the roles mentioned form the core for internalizing the BIM process.

‍Before you start...

In contrast to the Nuggets, where the focus is on free exploration, with the trainer you follow a predefined route. The BIM trainer program is divided into courses that are completed based on their numbering. How we can forward that is described within each course. The start of the route is course 02 | BIM Fundamentals. At the end the course 06 | BIM User awaits.

Within a course, the orange marking in the right part of the page shows which chapter you are currently in. After the end of a chapter, the course can be repeated by continuing or clicking on the next chapter.

BIM Starter

Digital skills and technical knowledge are required and tested in different ways by the trainer. Our BIM Starter gives a little insight into this. Similar to the nuggets, the individual chapters can be theoretical, practical or a combination of both aspects. Since technical knowledge is often not sufficient in the entire BIM process, the trainer's primary aim is to better internalize the BIM process through a mix of theory and practice in order to ultimately play the last station - the BIM game.
